My cards can be infinitely combined.

Chapter 51 Upgrade Cards

Chapter 51 Upgrade Cards

Zhou Nan used 490 magic points to appraise 49 white cards, and shook his head repeatedly upon seeing the results.

All 49 cards are one-star white cards, most of which are junk cards, including Little Crab Card, Little Sparrow Card, and Little Rabbit Card!

Of course, the card names are varied, but the strongest cards are [Orc Grunt Nozman] and [Medic Karius].

"With my looks and character, and even the Card Goddess statue behind me, it's still like this... But that's not the point. The point is black card synthesis, just to make up a name!"

Zhou Nan began synthesizing cards with renewed anticipation.

Of the 49 cards, 3 were Murloc cards, which Zhou Nan kept. He then mindlessly combined the remaining 46 cards in pairs, creating 23 mutated black cards with two-letter prefixes and suffixes.

Zhou Nan couldn't help but laugh when he saw the names of some of the cards. For example, there was the card "Chicken Eater - Super Strong", which was created by combining "Game Chicken - Ollie Strong" and "Greedy Snake - Terrat". This card also had a peculiar attribute: it was a one-time consumable card that could only be used once. After use, it could summon a roast chicken. The roast chicken was set as food, and eating it could enhance one's physique and permanently increase one's health by 100 points.

Zhou Nan didn't hold back and immediately won the chicken dinner. He also drank a few bottles of Small Light Potion, gaining 100 health points.

He also noted down the recipe, thinking that it would be nice to be able to eat chicken often in the future.

The other 22 cards were no good. Zhou Nan checked their attributes one by one, and the only one that was acceptable was [Beast Slave Man 4], which was synthesized by combining [Orc Gulu Soldier Nozman] and [Light Tower Sword Slave 547]!

However, the [Beast Slave - Man IV] is only a low-level one-star green card, and it costs 110 magic points to use, making it practically useless.

Zhou Nan then used these 22 mutated black cards to continue synthesizing. He felt that the attributes of the synthesized new cards were unpredictable and had a large element of randomness, but there was also some logic in them that corresponded to their prefix names.

Ultimately, these 22 cards were combined to form a one-star black card: [Veterinarian - Fourth-rate].

This [Veterinarian - Fourth-Rate] is exactly as its name suggests. After use, it can summon a veterinarian whose "medical skills" are utterly terrible. All he can do is apply plasters, and each plaster he applies restores 10 health points to the summoned card. To apply plasters, you have to get close, which is exhausting for this fourth-rate veterinarian. He can only apply one plaster per second, and the healing amount is even less than the original [Medic], and far less than the most common [Priest Apprentice].

"Close-combat medic, fourth-rate veterinarian..."

Zhou Nan suddenly felt a little heartbroken. He had spent so many gold coins, used up most of the Little Light Potion, and used so much magic, only to end up with a fourth-rate veterinarian?

"I regret it now! The hints in the [Black Card Synthesis] talent were right after all. Mindless synthesis is pointless and a waste of money... The main problem is that the synthesis materials are too rubbish, and the names are bad too. It's so frustrating!"

Zhou Nan shook his head and drank several more bottles of Small Glimmer Potions to restore his mana. Of course, he still needed to continue combining cards.

From now on, it won't be a matter of randomly combining items anymore.

Zhou Nan has two major synthesis formulas and one hypothesis that needs to be verified.

One of the crafting recipes involves crafting Panda cards. Although the Golden Hamster is a hamster, it can be combined with Black Cat cards, White Cat cards, and others to create a Panda!

The second crafting recipe involves combining a small murloc with a wild bear to create a savage. Zhou Nan wanted to test whether a large murloc could also be combined with a wild bear to create a savage.

The hypothesis that needs to be verified is to use cards with the same name to synthesize cards and see if the new card becomes consistently stronger after synthesis, such as using a Panda to synthesize another Panda, or using a Savage to synthesize another Savage.

Zhou Nan first combined the Golden Bear Card he had purchased with the White Cat Card and the Black Cat Card, and unsurprisingly, he created three Panda Cards.

In this way, Zhou Nan now possesses a total of five Panda cards: [Panda Pan Kui], [Panda Mie Dou], and the three newly synthesized cards.

【Panda Pan Kui】is Zhou Nan's main battle card. He didn't dare to use it directly to combine with the other four panda cards. After combining the other four panda cards one by one, Zhou Nan concluded that the new panda card was stronger than any of the previous panda cards. It seems that combining cards with the same name results in a stable increase in strength.

Zhou Nan was still a little worried, so he went to synthesize the Savage Card again.

Not counting the seven-in-one "Wild Man Hello", Zhou Nan had synthesized a total of twelve three-star Wild Man cards during his twelve solo runs of N4 "Guardian of Kasanaor". These Wild Man cards were all synthesized at once, and the summoned Wild Man had an attack speed of 2.0.

Zhou Nan then combined the Big Fishman card and the Wild Black Bear card he had on him. As he expected, the result was also a Wild Man card, and its attributes were almost identical to those of the card combined from the Little Fishman card.

"It seems that in the system's view, a savage is a savage, regardless of which recipe is used to synthesize them; their basic attributes are roughly the same. The same should apply to pandas..."

Zhou Nan seemed to understand something. Next, he combined all the big murloc cards in his inventory, as well as the small murloc cards that had been used as cannonballs by the cannon fodder Deng Lei, with the Wild Black Bear card, and finally had a total of 31 three-star savage cards!

Next came the savage-to-savage combination. Zhou Nan discovered that the savage cards did indeed become stronger with each combination, but the more times they were combined, the smaller the increase in strength became.

The most significant attribute enhancement when combining two savages is in attack speed. For example, the combined savage has an attack speed of 4.0, which is twice that of the base savage.

The three-in-one savage also has an attack speed of 4.0.

Like the four-in-one and five-in-one savages, their attack speed is 6.0.

The six-in-one and seven-in-one savages have an attack speed of 8.0, which is the level of the Savage Hello.

Continuing to synthesize, the eight-in-one savage has an attack speed of 10.0. However, if you synthesize it further, the attack speed will not change, and the health will be fixed at 15000. In other words, the minimum attack power will increase by a few points, but the maximum attack power will remain the same.

Zhou Nan created a savage combining twelve elements, with an attack speed of 10.0, health of 15000, and attack power of 80-90!

"It seems that infinite synthesis doesn't lead to infinite power? There's a limit to how powerful a savage can become? To continue getting stronger, I'll have to change the prefix name? Or upgrade my star rating?"

Zhou Nan was slightly disappointed, thinking to himself that it would be great if he could become infinitely stronger.

Actually, combining cards with the same name results in a loss of attributes. For example, combining seven Wildlings into one can only theoretically produce output capabilities equivalent to four basic Wildlings. The higher the level of combining, the more loss there is. However, there are advantages, the most obvious being the saving of mana.

Regardless of whether it's a multi-combination Savage Card or a three-star Savage Card, using it will consume 30 mana points.

In the end, Zhou Nan combined all the Savage Cards into four cards, and also used the [Savage Hello] card. The four Savage Cards are named: [Savage Ha Qing], [Savage Ha Hong], [Savage Heng Hai], and [Savage Heng Shou].

They all have 15000 health, 10.0 attack speed, and 80-90 attack power, and their class is all Berserker.

Holding the four cards, Zhou Nan said, "From now on, I'll call you 'Hum and Ha Wildlands'... Combining you into a Wildman Squad won't be cheap, so upgrading your stars is probably out of the question. I'll give you a different prefix name when I have the chance!"

After saying that, Zhou Nan put away the four Savage Cards and then went to synthesize the [Panda Pan Kui].

Similar to combining two Savages, combining two Pandas only makes one stronger, not weaker. However, it seems that Panda Pan Kui has reached the limit of the Panda. After the combination, the new card is named [Panda Pan Mie], a one-star black card. The summonable Panda Pan Mie has the same HP of 30000, the minimum attack power is increased to 148, the maximum attack power is unchanged at 150, the attack speed is unchanged at 1.0, the summoning mana cost is increased to 110, and the power of [Crushing Fire Fist] remains unchanged.

"That's enough for card enhancements for now. My main deck consists of [Rock General - Big Roll], [Panda - Panmie], [Sword Butterfly - Qiangfen], [Fire Turtle - Thanos], Hum Ha Wilds, [Fishman Warrior - Sharleyman], and 27 Heroic Bears. Summoning them all would require 860 mana, which I can manage..."

Zhou Nan silently calculated.

"Just the 'Hum-Ha Four Wilds' attack alone can theoretically deal 3200 to 3600 DPS. Against N5 Murlocs, that's six hits per kill. If you surround the Bloodthirsty Old Shark and add 27 Heroic Bear Watchtowers focusing fire, wow, at least 4800 DPS! He'd be dead in ten seconds! Awesome, the Savage Berserker is really brutal. Looks like soloing is feasible... It's a pity the fourth-rate veterinarian is so weak. If there were a powerful healer, it would be perfect!"
