Monsters Are Coming

Chapter 1513 - 389: My Weakness Is Strength_3

Chapter 1513 - 389: My Weakness Is Strength_3

And its Weakness Suppression is like a splash of cold water, causing the opponent’s emotional temperature to drop rapidly, freezing the boiling momentum.Without the intention to stir up Killing Intent, naturally he couldn’t drive his body to harm him.

He looked down at his hands, and a strange, unprecedented feeling welled up in his heart.

"It seems... it really does suit me."

This thought arose involuntarily, making the expression on his face suddenly become a bit complex.

There was both the joy of acquiring a new ability, mixed with a touch of indescribable awkwardness.

He still didn’t want to admit that he was a coward.

Glancing at the live stream’s comments, he summoned the activity interface from the function panel at this moment.

Within the interface, the eight categories of Suppression corresponded to eight different trial paths.

Each path presented a different style.

The path behind the Red Rage Gate was like a lava Hell, behind the Gate of Cyan Sorrow was a misty rainforest... whereas the path representing Weakness was a small grayish-white trail that looked unusually serene, even somewhat inconspicuous.

[Trial Name: Path of Weakness]

Trial Requirement: Reach the endpoint safe zone of each stage without engaging in combat. Encountering combat or causing monster disturbance will lower the score.

"Not to be discovered? Reach the safe zone?"

The Explorer looked at these requirements and was not surprised.

Weakness inherently wasn’t a combat type of Suppression, making it through by combat didn’t fit the setup at all.

Most probably emotions related to bravery or anger would be the combat passing mode.

He chose the trial of Weakness without hesitation, mentally confirming it.

The pure white space before him twisted and transformed again.

[First Stage: Restless Woodland]

Golden letters floated in front then gradually faded away.

He found himself in a darkly lit, densely vegetated woodland.

The air was filled with the damp smell of rotten leaves and the odor of some kind of wild animal.

From afar came the faint sounds of growls and the clash of branches, approaching.

Realizing danger was closing in, he immediately activated the Suppression, and a faint grayish-white aura silently spread.

He carefully chose to move in the shadows and densely vegetated areas, trying not to make any sound.

At that moment, monster silhouettes appeared.

They looked like oversized gray wolves, with large bodies, protruding fangs, and fierce eyes.

After appearing nearby, they occasionally used their claws to dig at the ground, looking very restless, seemingly any rustle could lead them to attack.

As if they smelled something, they glanced in his direction, nostrils twitching, but upon contact with the nearly invisible gray mist, their eyes quickly changed from ferocious to somewhat confused and uninterested, as if they thought he was just an insignificant, uninteresting pebble.

The feeling for the Explorer was this.

Clearly, they had seen him, but they couldn’t develop any emotions about him.

To his surprise, the three beasts grunted a couple of times, then sauntered away.

The initial test, its effect made him feel very satisfied.

He boldly ventured forward.

Along the way, he occasionally encountered monsters, but relying on the emotional influence of Weakness Suppression, he safely traversed the dense forest zone.

In the live stream room: 666, even being utterly cowardly can be powerful, turning my weakness into a Domain, my weakness will also be your weakness... various comments flew by.

The players in the live stream room felt a bit incredulous about the Suppression effect that allowed traveling without fighting.

Before long, the Explorer reached the endpoint of the first stage.

A Teleportation Array emitting soft white light appeared before him.

Without a moment’s hesitation, he decisively entered the Teleportation Array, arriving at the second stage: Warning Outpost.

This stage’s setting was inside an abandoned building, with narrow corridors and many rooms.

The walls were covered with remnants of surveillance Arrays, and a few Eye of Insight guards floated in the air.

Though these magical constructs had no attack power, once they detected an intruder, they would sound an alarm, attracting the guards deeper in the outpost.

There were also numerous Stone Skin Guards patrolling on fixed routes, moving slowly but with a large Perception range, and once locked on, they would launch an unending assault.

The requirement for this stage was also very simple.

The Challenger only needed to pass through the outpost and reach the exit on the other end to succeed.

During this challenge, while concealing his presence, he moved closely sticking to the shadows of the walls.

As an Exploration Faction player, he knew too well what to pay attention to while exploring outside.

The Eye of Insight’s light occasionally swept over his area, but upon hitting the "please do not observe me" field disturbance, it flickered a few times and moved its view away.

The Stone Skin Guard was even more oblivious to his presence.

As if he was just a moving backdrop.

He deftly utilized the intervals when the guards turned around, to pass through the defense.

The tests of these two stages, relying on Weakness Suppression, could be easily overcome, seeming devoid of any challenge.

Upon reaching the third stage "Mad Beast Nest," the difficulty slightly increased.

This stage was in a massive underground cave, and upon entering the scene, one could hear the heavy breathing and the sound of chains being dragged from deep within the cave.

The path to the endpoint had to bypass the huge beast pen in the center of the nest, where numerous giant beasts were confined with thick chains, yet still crazily struggling and roaring, their emotions raging, any scent of a living creature approaching would thoroughly enrage them.

His Level 1 Suppression’s effect was somewhat weakened in front of the giant beasts, they were still able to perceive his presence.
